Ok so this is a funny story courtesy of my cat, Feliz. Lately she has been pulling down my curtains. She just won't leave them up, and she always does it when I am not around. If I am home she doesn't touch them at all, but I will come home or wake up to my curtains all over the floor!

This was driving me nuts! So I got the bright idea to booby-trap my curtains. I put a glass of water (plastic) on top of them, so when she pulled, the cup would fall and hopefully hit her with water. This was supposed to deter her.

It didn't exactly work as planned. Things seemed to be getting worse because instead of once a week, the curtains were now hitting the floor once a day. I couldn't understand, but wondered if maybe the cat wasn't getting hit with the water every time.

I figured it out last night....Feliz had noticed that there was a cup by the ceiling and for whatever reason she thought the cup shouldn't be there. I saw her numerous times sitting on the floor at the base of the curtains staring up at the cup. She also figured out that by pulling on the curtains with her claws a bit and then running away really fast, she could get the cup down and not get hit with water! I saw her do this twice and I got hit with the water while sitting on the couch! ARG!

I have finally rectified the problem hopefully for good, by rearranging my curtains so that they cannot be pulled down, although they also cannot be used as they were originally intended. *sigh*

(PS ...the picture above was taken after Feliz's first bath)
